Marmaris is welcoming this winter season with an entirely new excitement. The Marmaris New Year Festival, featuring a wide range of colorful events, held its promotional meeting, where the first social media campaign was launched under the hashtag #MarmarisNewYearFest.
Under the leadership of Marmaris Municipality, preparations for the New Year Festival, which will take place from November 29 to December 31, are in full swing. The first promotional meeting was hosted by Marmaris Mayor Acar Ünlü. During the event, attended by numerous guests, a simultaneous social media campaign using the hashtag #MarmarisNewYearFest took place at 8:00 PM.
HIGH PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION
The promotional event was held at Queen Stage in Netsel Marina, attended by representatives of institutions, professional and civil society organizations, businesses involved in the festival, as well as journalists. Guests included Italy’s Consul in Izmir Daniele Bianchi, Marmaris Chamber of Commerce President Mutlu Ayhan, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality 4th Regional Director Didem Ünal, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Branch Manager Ümit Kayabaş, Marmaris Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen Secretary General Hülya Gök, GETOB Vice President Süleyman Yıldız, TÜRSAB Marmaris Regional Executive Board President Suat Esin, Marmaris Young Businessmen Association (MAGİAD) Board Member İdris Akgül, MAKSAD President Samir Gülahmedov and Board Members, actor Hakan Salınmış, municipal council members, and journalists. The event was filled with great enthusiasm.
MARMARIS, A CITY FOR ALL SEASONS
Following speeches by Italy’s Consul in Izmir Daniele Bianchi and representatives of supporting institutions, Marmaris Mayor Acar Ünlü addressed the audience:
“We want to show that Marmaris is not just a summer city, but a city that thrives all year round. The New Year Festival is an important step toward this vision. We invite all our citizens and visitors to experience the magical atmosphere of Marmaris in December.”
Mayor Ünlü also emphasized that through various festivals and events throughout the year, they aim to make Marmaris a lively and vibrant city 12 months a year.
MARMARIS WILL SHINE BRIGHT
During the meeting, details about the festival highlighted goals such as revitalizing Marmaris during the winter with cultural and social events, extending tourism throughout the year, and contributing to the local economy.
From November 29 to December 31, 2025, Marmaris will be adorned with dazzling decorations, spreading joy and excitement throughout the city. Visitors in December will be greeted with a warm atmosphere, unforgettable memories, and a unique New Year spirit. The festival will feature concerts, performances by international artists, street shows, workshops, a New Year market, and numerous other colorful activities for both locals and visitors.
